The Good, The Bad and The Overrated

I watched an interesting documentary a few hours ago, it's called

Angels, Aliens & UFOs

This is basically a show about seeing things through video cameras that the naked eye cannot see, things such as lights, orbs, shapes, shadows and such. At first I wasn't very impressed, the images and videos tended to be blurry and quite frankly I couldn't see what they said they were seeing, but it did get better as it went on.

Some of the things I saw in the video were pretty close to the things I see, the shadow on the building, some of the lights going across the sky, I also liked that the host of the show referred to scripture, it wasn't all "new age" or full of "let's meet our alien brothers"...

I watched this on NetFlix, I am enjoying a free month of use then I'll most likely cancel my membership, or I might keep it for a while like I did before, at least until I run out of shows I want to watch, this is my second free month they have offered to me.

I'd say if you aren't a NetFlix subscriber, it would be worth getting the free month just to watch this show.

I noticed it didn't have good reviews, I gave it a 5 star rating, for what it was it was pretty good, much better than the ghost hunting shows on TV nowdays. 

I have pretty much stopped watching the ghost hunting shows, I used to enjoy watching Ghost Hunters, especially the first few seasons, they seemed to be pretty genuine back then, they actually had shows where they found nothing, or they found normal explanations for what was thought to be paranormal activity.

Then, slowly over time, they would find something paranormal in each and every show, maybe their target audience didn't like seeing them find nothing, maybe they quit showing the investigations where they found nothing or found normal answers... I don't know what happened but it got to be very predictable and quite frankly boring... I still catch the show every now and again, but I make no special effort to watch it.

I couldn't stand all the other ghost hunting shows that cropped up after Ghost Hunters, I would watch then a time or two, most of them were a joke, filled with bad night vision distorted face cams of screaming investigators running away when anything so called "paranormal" happened... 

I had all but given up on those kinds of shows, I didn't bother even looking at the more strange ones, there's one out now about southern hicks hunting ghosts, and yet another about swampland rednecks hunting ghosts, another that combines ghost hunting with gold mining... I am glad there is enough interest in this subject to warrant people trying to make these really bad shows... I just can't watch them though...

Until a couple of weeks ago, I was at my neighbor's house doing some laundry, I turned on the TV and on one of the channels was a show called Haunted Collector, I had heard about it but really thought it would be just too far out for me, I watched one segment and part of another, I couldn't believe it, but I found myself wanting to see the rest of the show, so I found it online and watched it. Today I was doing laundry there again and they were having a marathon of this show, I watched a couple of the episodes and so far I like it, they don't run screaming every time something happens, they seem to do quite a bit of research on the location they are working, and they seem to be pretty normal people with real feelings, they don't come across as fake, they also don't jump to conclusions.

I'll be investigating this show more closely.

Lot's O' Stuff Going On

I have been meaning to write more here, don't ya just hate it when a blogger keeps saying that? So here I am. My spiritual life has been growing and growing.  I am getting more and more comfortable with myself and my spirituality at the same time. I had a few adjustments to make after my baptism, there were some small things were taken from me, at the time I had no idea what those would be, I just hoped it wouldn't be everything about my spiritual life, but was willing to give up any and all of it if that was necessary, I can truly thank God that it was not all taken, just tweaked to be even better.

My walk and talk with God has gotten better and better, closer and closer. I am participating in a Christian class at church, it's by John MacArthur, it's called Fundamentals of the Faith, I have enjoyed learning more and more, even if I don't agree with everything MacArthur says, especially about the spiritual gifts, he says some of them were only meant for the Bible days and aren't meant for today, I disagree, when God gives gifts, He doesn't take them back. I also know that we humans aren't going to agree with each other 100% of the time...

To update some of my spiritual experiences I have had recently, a month ago (+/-) I was in my Bug on the way to church in the afternoon, I was by myself, I live in a very rural area with mountainous dirt roads that are curvy and have lots of hills and valleys. There are places where the road is not wide enough for 2 vehicles to pass, it's a good idea to drive slow out here, sometimes I will think I'm going too fast only to look down and see I am going 15 mph. Anyhoo, I was going to the church, doing my normal speed on this particular part of the road, I was "told" to slow down, I didn't question it or even think about it, I just did it, I dropped my speed by about 5 mph, I began looking ahead to see why I had been instructed to slow down. I expected to see animals in the road (a common occurrence out here), maybe deer or feral donkeys, I was coming to a curve in the road when I saw the UPS truck coming the opposite direction, he was in the middle of the road coming around that curve, there was not enough room for both of us to be on that spot at the same time, if I hadn't slowed down, I would have been there at the same time as the UPS truck, would there have been a crash? I don't know, possibly a crash, possibly one or both of us might have ended up sliding off the road, I do know that it would have been at least a close call, not something I relish thinking about, much less experiencing...

I am still seeing into the spirit world, little sparks of light, the glowing orbs, the shadows and such.  For the most part, I just look and go on, I don't try to interact or communicate with whatever these things are. My neighbor's house had been pretty quiet the last few months, but things have been ramping back up, I have been seeing different things there, things like sparks of light near the ceiling. Yesterday, I was down there with my Dad, he had fallen asleep in the recliner, I laid down on the couch to catch a nap too, when I saw a large, shaggy looking shadow flying across the cabinet doors in the dining room, I have been seeing more and more activity in that part of the house. This only lasted a few seconds, but was significantly different from the other things I have seen there, it left an impression on my mind. I didn't say anything to my Dad about this though. So today, after church, we ate lunch at my neighbor's house, then my Dad laid back in the recliner and wanted to take a nap, I told him I was going up to my house, if he needed me, he could call me.

I had gotten up to my house (it's a bit of a hike up a mountain side to get to my house), I had enough time to get on the internet and check my email when my Dad called, he said he needed me back down there asap. When I got there, he was a little shaken up, he said he had not been asleep yet, but his eyes were closed, then something grabbed his foot. He opened his eyes and saw nothing, then he saw what he described at a large, dark tubular thing near the ceiling going toward the dining room. He rebuked it and it left him alone. Shortly after I got back down there, he told me that he saw something else, it looked like a small bird going toward the dining room, his dog also responded to this. It's strange that the sightings in that house had changed so much, I hadn't said anything to my Dad about this, yet he is also seeing these things too.

I have another 2 things to write about, I'll only tease you with them and say they are VERY GOOD THINGS, exciting things, somewhat scary too, but not in the spooky sense, scary because of the great potential and the responsibility that go with it. I'll write about them in the next few days.

Golden Light Ball Sighting

My Dad is here for a visit, he drove 500 miles and will be staying for a month. He has been here just a few days. Yesterday, he mentioned something interesting to me, he had been down at my neighbor's house watching TV, no one else was in the house at that moment, and he saw a golden colored ball of light appear under a set of shelves in the living room, next to the TV, it appeared and moved toward the inside of the room then vanished. There is nothing down there that should or could have created this light. My Dad asked me if I had ever seen this before, I have, many times, but I know I haven't told him about it, we have not discussed this particular thing before, I just did a quick search of this blog and I haven't written anything specific about this either, so my Dad independently confirmed the golden colored light sighting for me.

Not sure exactly what it means, it just appears, moved away from the shelf, close to the floor then it vanishes. I don't get any particular feeling about it, I just see it then it's gone. Now someone else has seen the exact same thing in the exact same place where I see it.

I also found out that my Dad has been seeing a phantom dog of his own, it looks just like his dog, I wonder what this phenomena is? Seeing your own dog as a phantom dog, that is a strange thing indeed. Dear reader, I ask you, have you ever seen a phantom of your own pet that was still alive? Do you have any theories or thoughts about this?

Strange Neighbor Sighting

Things have been pretty quiet, spirit wise for a while, that's pretty normal though, it seems to come and go in batches, I'll see a lot of activity then I will not see much of anything for a week or more. That is until Friday... I was going out to deliver some Sprite to an ill friend, on the way down to the bug, I was trying to see if my neighbor had come in yet, he and his lady friend were supposed to come in for the weekend. It was mid-day, well lit, we live in a rural, mountainous area with large lots so it takes a bit to walk down from my house to where we park, it's a bit of a distance from my property to my neighbor's property and there are quite a few trees. I walked across my property and started to walk over to my neighbor's side, I was still pretty far from his driveway, then I CLEARLY saw my neighbor's dog Sam, and my neighbor in their front yard, Sam was sitting in front of the porch on his long leash looking in my direction, my neighbor was over in the yard squatting on his haunches near some trees across the driveway. None of that was unusual, this is where I often see Sam, and I have come upon my neighbor "meditating" in or near the trees, usually sitting on a lower branch. I didn't see the truck though, which was strange, but I figured that maybe he had parked way around on the other end of the driveway, around on the other side of the garage area.  I decided not to continue going over there, I needed to get the Sprite to my ill friend, so I walked back to the bug and went on my way.

When I got home a while later, I went to my house and told Bob what I had seen, I started dinner and Bob decided to go see what was going on since I never saw my neighbor's truck, he walked over there. When he got back he told me that no one was home and no truck was there, I decided that I wanted to see if I had seen some sort of optical illusion, so I went back the same way I had originally gone to get over there, I didn't see anything, no dog, no dog shaped anything, no neighbor squatting on his haunches near the trees, no neighbor shaped shadows, I saw nothing that could account for what I had seen earlier.

My neighbor and his lady friend never came in this weekend as planned, today I tried to call him on his cell phone, it went straight to voice mail, it didn't ring, I left a message asking him to call. I am a bit worried, something I mentioned to Bob, I wonder if (Heaven forbid) that something happened to them on the way out, a car wreck or something, it would make sense that his spirit and the spirit of his dog would return to the place they love so much. For now I am assuming that is not the case and they are all alive and well.

I will update this post when I find out what happened, good or bad.

Corners Collect More Than Dust

I realized today, something that I have seen most if not all of my life, corners seem to collect more than dust. I see more spiritual activity in corners, I am speaking about the corners of rooms, inside corners. I remember as a teen, living in the house where I spent most of my growing up years, there were at least 2-3 corners in the house that had "doorways", places where spirits seemed to come and go. The other corners in that house were not active like those specific ones. I have seen this activity on the floor side of the corners as well as the ceiling corners. Typically where three surfaces come together, not so much in the middle.

At my neighbor's house, there is a particular corner in the hallway that always attracts my eyes. When I am sitting over there, watching TV, doesn't matter if it's day or night, the hall is always fairly dark, but there is a part that is darker than the rest, the darkness seems to become almost 3D, it isn't just a shadow. It appears to be a darkness/shadow that is separate from the wall, actually floating out from the wall. I don't believe that is an entity itself, it appears to be another doorway between this reality and the spirit world.

I have seen these doorways since I was a teenager. I used to see them outside, up in the trees, the limbs of the trees would not grow into these doorways, they would grow around it, framing it. If I stood under one, looking up through it, the sky looked different, usually brighter or a different shade of blue. I would also feel a pulling sensation. I used to feel fearful that I might be pulled right through, so I wouldn't spend too much time directly under them. I'm less fearful of this now, I figure that if it happens, it happens and it's supposed to. I am not trying to make it happen though. Just to be precise, not every corner is a "doorway", not every corner has this energy (that I have seen). not every tree grows around doorways. I think I'll start looking up in the trees again, it's been a long while since I've seen a doorway within the branches of a tree.

Back to the corner thing, I wonder if the act of building a room, and making the corners has anything to do with this? Is this intention in action? Does the act of making the corners create the energy that makes these things happen? Or is it just a natural occurrence that energy AND dust collect naturally in corners...So many questions... maybe I'll dowse for the answers, I just need to make a good set of questions. I am discovering that having good and precise questions helps to get accurate answers.

Do you, my dear readers, have any experience with this sort of thing? Do you have any theories? I know that this is true. it happens, I just don't have the why's and how's of it.

Mobile Home Spookies And An Update

Today, well technically yesterday now, I was asked to clean a mobile home that had just became vacant, it needed to be cleaned before the next tenants arrive. So I worked on getting the place detailed. I went in to a nearly empty place, fairly clean, it just needed some major detailing.

In pretty short order, I began to "feel" the place, normally I have to be in a place a few times before I start feeling anything in it. Not in this case, I began to feel things right away. I didn't actually see or hear anything, but I could sure feel something, or multiple somethings there. The only way I can explain it is it felt disconcerting, almost nightmarishly so. I would not want to spend the night in this place, sleeping would be impossible. Imagine being thrown into a place with lots of people moving around erratically and bumping into you, not like they are doing it on purpose, but it's still happening, that's how it felt there.

I know the person who did live there, this person seemed normal at first, but then started acting odd, this person it turned out was bi-polar, and not on medication. Things got real bad for this person, this person thought they could see demons, started thinking their friends were demons, let's just say it got real dicey for everyone involved, worse things happened but it's not necessary to give a laundry list of everything.

When I went in to clean, I wasn't thinking about any of this, I was concentrating on doing my job, and even after I started feeling the weird feelings there, I still didn't think about this person until later. I wonder if this is a residual of the energy from this person, or if it what may have caused this person to go off the deep end. I realize that the bi-polar condition was already present, so it's hard to say which came first. I wished I could have gone in there before this person lived there, I am curious about how that place felt before this person was around.

The more I think about it, the more I lean toward the energy being residual, I didn't feel anything intelligent, it just felt disconcerting, I imagine that is how this person felt inside. I will be cleaning this place again after the next people leave in about a week, maybe I can try to do something to clear the negative energy. BTW, that person is getting the help they need, I wish them well.

UPDATE
I spoke with my sister on the phone the other day, she had read my description of the dark, rolling cloud like thing in my neighbor's hall. She suggested that it may be something that she sees in her house. What she sees as a doorway or portal, it gets bigger and smaller, when it gets too big for her comfort level, she asks her husband to shrink it down, and he does. I don't know if this is what is in my neighbor's house, but it certainly is a possibility. I have seen portals or doorways before, that's not how they have appeared to me in the past, that doesn't mean it's not a doorway or portal though, I will keep my mind open about this.

Neighbor's House - Update

Things have been very quiet at my neighbor's house, in the last couple of weeks the entity in the hall (the one where I can see the top of the head walking back and forth) has been not present, the little dog Angel still shows herself on occasion, and the dark rolling shadow in the hall is still present.

There have been a few changes in that house, my neighbor had an accident at work and severely (chemically) burned his eyes, in the midst of all of this, a lady that he worked with started taking care of him while he convalesced. This is a lady that he had been interested in but couldn't get up enough nerve to ask her out. I have always believed that things happen for a reason, even if that reason isn't apparent, I believe this accident, as terrible as it was, was instrumental in bringing these two together, they didn't have to go through the akward first few dates, they completely bypassed all of that.

I talked to my neighbor last night to find out if he had detected any "activity" in the house, he said it had been quiet, I told him that I had been experiencing the same quietness. I suggested that it may be a case of his late wife (if that was the one in the hallway that I see walking around) might have hung around with the intention of watching over him, and now, that isn't needed, he has someone there to take care of him, perhaps it was her time to move on, my neighbor agreed and we all considered it a good thing.

I'll still be looking for the other entities that I know are there, but I suspect that I will not be seeing the one in the hallway, I'll keep you updated. :)

My neighbor's eyes are healing up nicely, one word of advice, if you are unclogging a drain using a chemical drain cleaner, be sure to put the lid back on as soon as you use it, NEVER set it down on sink or tub with the lid off, if you accidentally knock it over, you will be sorry!
